Electric bikes, also known as e-bikes or pedal-assist bicycles, are human-powered bicycles created with integrated electric motors which provide additional power and speed to a cyclist. The drive system of the bike consists of a motor, battery, drivetrain, and throttle.
Throttle-assisted, which means the motor can be used to fully propel the bike without any pedaling. They also cap at 20mph.
All three classes have a maximum wattage of 750 watts for the motor, which is equivalent to 1 horsepower.
